Maybe therapy isn’t about fixing you.
Maybe it’s about hearing yourself, finally, all the way through.
ABOUT ALIGN
A small, considered practice for online therapy.
We are five California-licensed therapists. We work entirely online. We see clients in their 20s and 30s — the years where the questions get specific, where the family of origin starts asking different things of you, where the relationship that seemed easy isn't.
The work we do is steady. Research-based, but not clinical-feeling. Warm, but not performative. We meet you where you are and help you make sense of where you've been.
The things that actually bring you here.
Most clients arrive saying some version of the same sentence. I should be doing better than this. What we usually find underneath is one of these.
Anxiety & Overthinking
— the 3 a.m. spiral
The mind that won't slow down. The Sunday-night dread. The performance anxiety hiding inside ambition. Tools for getting your evenings back.
Read more →Relationship Anxiety
— the "what if I don't really love them" loop
Intrusive doubts. Compulsive checking of your feelings. Attachment activation that hijacks an otherwise good relationship. We help you tell anxiety apart from your actual feelings.
Read more →Family Boundaries
— the good-child trap
Setting limits with parents and family of origin. Especially when the culture you grew up in calls boundaries betrayal. Differentiation, not estrangement.
Read more →People-Pleasing
— the exhausting yes
Saying yes when you mean no. Performing closeness. The fawn response, dressed up as competence. We help you find the no, and trust the right people will stay.
Read more →Identity & Self
— who am I, when I'm not performing?
Cultural identity. Queer identity. The post-achievement empty. The slow work of finding the version of you that lives underneath all the expectations.
Read more →OCD & Intrusive Thoughts
— the doubts that loop
Pure-O. ROCD. Harm OCD. Scrupulosity. The disturbing thoughts you can't talk about, the rituals you can't stop. Evidence-based work for the version of OCD that hides.
Read more →Disordered Eating
— the food math
Restriction. Binge cycles. The exercise that's about earning food. The relationship with food and body that quietly runs underneath everything else. Weight-inclusive care.
Read more →Couples & Premarital
— the same fight, in a different costume
Communication patterns. Attachment ruptures. The harder conversations before marriage. Fewer fights about housework, more about what the housework is actually about.
Read more →Depression & Low Mood
— the off you can't quite name
The slow-burn version. The days that feel gray. The motivation that's quietly disappeared. The "I'm fine" that hasn't been true for a while.

A practice built by selection, not expansion.
There are a lot of online therapists in California. We are a few.
That's the choice we made. Fewer clients, longer relationships, deeper work. Our team is trained across CBT, attachment, EMDR, EFT, mindfulness, and Bowen Family Systems — and we bring that range to bear because no two clients need exactly the same approach.
You're not a case here. You're a person we'll be in the room with as long as you need.
“I’d been to therapy before. From the first consultation, this just felt different. It feels so nice to just show up and be myself while I gameplan solutions that actually work.”
Maybe therapy is the slow work of becoming yourself.
Most clients arrive having already read everything. They know the language. They've done the journaling. What hasn't quite happened is the integration — the part where you actually make meaningful changes from your insight, not just the judgment you feel when re-reading your notes app.
That's the work we do. Not faster. Not more clever. Just steadier, deeper, and trustworthy enough that you keep showing up.
